The Noise is Changing: a creative music lab on geophony in the shifting soundscape of the Anthropocene with Edoardo Micheli
Sunday 25 July , 1pm – 5pm
Hosted by: Neue Nachbarschaft/Moabit and Moabit Mountain College
Composer, performer, and Head of Sonic Explorations of Moabit Mountain College, Edoardo Micheli will take over Erde Workshop this Sunday and guide us through the soundscape of Strandbad and beyond.
Through a practical and creative workshop, using acoustic musical instruments, natural materials, and electronic sounds we will try to reproduce and listen to some of the changing patterns in the soundscape of the Anthropocene with a particular focus on geophysical sounds, and we will try to translate this into a communitarian musical practice.
Feel free to bring your musical instruments and your friends.
Erde-Workshops take place on Sundays at Strandbad Tegelsee /Zentrum für Kultur und Erholung. Participation in the workshops is free of charge, registration is not required. The workshops are led by the members of Moabit Mountain College and focus on artistic practice in connection with ecology and sustainability.
